The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1982 to host the first sanctioned state games of the commonwealth. The Foundation is recognized nationwide for holding high-quality, Olympic-style events through the Bay State Summer and Winter Games, as well as educational programs including the Kids Fitness Challenge, High School Spirit Program and Future Leaders Scholarship. With more than 30,000 people from 300 cities and towns directly participating in its programs each year, the Foundation is an integral part of the lives of citizens across the commonwealth.

Recently, state budget cuts have reduced funding for the Bay State Games. These reductions have made it more difficult to provide the events and programs that have been benefiting Massachusetts residents for almost 30 years. As a result, the Games are relying on private donations more than ever.

If you are an alumni, parent of a participant or just a friend of the Games, you can now donate to the Bay State Games through its new Adopt a Sport program. The Adopt a Sport program allows donations to be earmarked for use by a specified sport or team. Cash donations will go towards offsetting the operational costs of the sport, as well as towards helping to keep entry costs low for young athletes. In addition, donations of sport-specific goods and services are also welcome as a part of the Adopt a Sport program.

As an extra thank you for your donation, the Bay State Games will offer the follow recognition based on donation level:

$25-$50
Listed in Bay State Games program as a booster of your chosen sport
$50+

Listed in Bay State Games program & will receive a special gift from the Games
