Kevin Cummings, Executive Director |

Kevin Cummings has been involved with the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation and the Bay State Games since 1984, coordinating events in 25 of the 28 years that the organization has been in existence. He began as a Sports Coordinator, was promoted to Director of Operations in 1992 and was appointed as Executive Director in 1999.
Kevin is an active member of the National Congress of State Games, which represents over 35 states and more than 500,000 athletes annually. He served as the organization's president from 2005-2007, was a member of the National Congress of State Games Board of Directors from 2002-2007, served as Chairman of the State Games of America Committee from 2003-2007 and was a member of the Executive Committee for the 2007 State Games of America. He currently serves on the |
National Congress of the State Games membership and National Governing Body Committees and was selected as the liason between the National Congress of State Games and the United States Olympic Committees Multi Sports Organizational Council.
A 1983 graduate of Boston College, where he managed the Eagles' basketball team, Kevin is involved with the organization and operation of many national and local sporting events in addition to his duties at the Bay State Games. Currently, he is the Director of Volunteer Security for the Boston Marathon (since 1997) and serves as a statistician for the Boston College football and basketball teams and the New England Patriots (since 1984). Kevin also serves as a consultant for DMSE event management and is involved with the operation of major participatory events including the Jimmy Fund Walk, the BAA Half Marathon, and the Feaster Five Road Race.
Kevin has also worked for the 2008 US Womens Marathon Olympic Trials as a member of the organizing committee, the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, the NHL All-Star Game, the World Junior Hockey Championships, the World Cross Country Championships, the McDonald's High School All-America Basketball Game and the NCAA Men's Basketball Championships.

Bill was named Strategic Partnerships Manager in May of 2011. In this position he works in a support roll with sponsors of all programs related to the Bay State Games and the Massachusetts Amatuer Sports Foundation (MASF).
Working closely with the MASF and Bay State Games staff, Bill's primary mission is to build strong relationships with corporate and private entities, as well as professional organizations, which allow the Bay State Games and related programs like the Kid's Fitness Challenge to grow through win/win partnerships. The relationships thereby increase the level of experience and benefits of participation to the athletes and students that are part of the organization's programs.
Bill comes to the Bay State Games with over 20 years of successful sales/relationship

| experience. He is also a veteran U.S. Navy Photographer and graduate of the United States Naval School of Photography and United States Naval School of Photographic Intelligence. |
