COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS |
- All games will be played at college facilities including UMass Boston, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Emmanuel College and the Reggie Lewis Center.

All teams will play a minimum of five games. |

DIVISIONS |
|
Boys 9th & 10th Grade: Male athletes must be in the 9th or 10th grade as of the 2009-2010 academic year. Athletes must be under the age of 17 as of June 1, 2010. Any 9/10 grader who is age 17 or older as of June 1, 2010 is not eligible to play in the 9th & 10th grade division and must play in the 11th & 12th grade division.
Boys 11th & 12th Grade: Male athletes must be in the 11th or 12th grade as of the 2009-10 academic year. Athletes must be under the age of 19 as of June 1, 2010.
Girls 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Grade: Female athletes must be in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade as of the 2009-10 academic year. Athletes must be under the age of 19 as of June 1, 2010.
*The number of 12th graders that can be selected for a Girls' final team will be limited to a TOTAL of three per team, regardless of school. There is no limit to the number of 12th graders that can tryout |

ELIGIBILITY |
To qualify for a region, an athlete must be one of the following:
- A full-time resident within the region for 30 days prior to first day of tryouts.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in the region. |

Athletes who are eligible for multiple regions may only tryout for one team. |

TRYOUT RULES |
- A minimum of three (3) tryouts will be held in June.
- Athletes must participate in a minimum of two (2) tryouts to be considered for the team. Bay State Games coaches do not have the authority to waive the two-tryout rule. Waivers can only be granted by the Director of Operations and/or the Executive Director of the Bay State Games if participation numbers warrant. |
If you cannot attend the first tryout date listed on the website, contact your region’s coach for additional tryouts. Athletes are responsible for getting tryout info, individual athletes will not be contacted with their tryout information. Athletes are also responsible for reading team sport rules in the general information section. |
