COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS |
- The competition is held at the Pris De Fer Fencing Club in Billerica, one of the premier fencing facilities in New England which has hosted NCAA championships and NEUSFA events.

The top four athletes in each event will receive Bay State Games jackets.The top three athletes in each event will receive the appropriate gold, silver or bronze medal.

All participants receive a Bay State Games T-shirt.

Athletes can enter up to two events for the single $30 entry fee. Additional events above two can be added for an extra $15 per event. |

DIVISIONS |
|
Scholastic: Age 12 through high school seniors, as of the 2010–11 academic year. Must be under age 19
Open: Age 12 and older
Masters: Age 40 and older
* All ages as of July 15, 2011
** Athletes can fence in more than one division in the same discipline if rules apply

ELIGIBILITY |
An athlete must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- A full-time Massachusetts resident for 30 days prior to first day of tryouts.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in Massachusetts.
- A registered member of a fencing club in Massachusetts, for which you are entering. The club must be your exclusive “contact” with the sports. Athletes using the club membership for eligibility may not be a member of a non-Massachusetts club.
Please note if you register according to club status you may not compete if your state holds its own State Games competitions which include the sport of fencing.

$30 for two events.

AWARDS |

Medals and Bay State Games jackets are awarded to the top three in each division.
Athletes who place in the top four in more than one event will only receive one jacket. |

ENTRY DEADLINE |
Pre-registration entries must be postmarked by June 30. Confirmation materials will be mailed by July 1. You may register on site on the day of the competition, however only pre-registered fencers can be assured of receiving a Bay State Games T-shirt. |
