COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS |
- All teams will play a minimum of three games and a maximum of five games during the two day tournament.
- All games played in two stop-time halves. Grades 5&6 play 14 minute halves and Grades 7&8 play 16 minute halves.

DIVISIONS |
|
5th & 6th Grade: In addition to the grade requirements, athletes must be age 13 or younger as of July 9, 2010.
7th & 8th Grade: In addition to the grade requirements, athletes must be age 15 or younger as of July 9, 2010.
- In each division there will be separate tournaments for males and females.
No co-ed teams.
- Grades as of the 2009-10 academic year.
- Within each division, there are no separations by grade.
- Athletes in the 9th grade as of the 2009-10 school year ARE NOT ELIGIBLE, regardless of age. Eligibility is tied to both age and grade.

ELIGIBILITY |
To qualify for a region, an athlete must be one of the following:
- A full-time resident within the region for 30 days prior to first day of tryouts.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in the region. |

RULES |
- The three point line will be used.

Games tied at end of regulation play three minute overtimes.

National High School Federation rules govern competition.

Every effort will be made to have two officials for all games.
- Each team must have a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of 12 players. Each team may have one coach.

FORMAT |
NO QUALIFIERS. Applications accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Teams will be assigned to pools and play a minimum of three pool games. Pool winners advance to championship play. MASF reserves right to change format based on number of entries. |

$300 per team

AWARDS |
- All participants receive an official Bay State Summer Games T-shirt.

Medals are awarded to the top three teams in each division.
- Award jackets are presented to the gold medal team in each division. |

ENTRY DEADLINE |
Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until brackets are full or NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JUNE 19. Applications received after a division is filled will be returned with a full refund. |

| REGISTRATION |
To reserve a spot in the tournament, register online or fill out the form below and mail to the Bay State Games office with a $300 entry fee. Applications received after a division is filled will be returned with a full refund. Make checks payable to the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation (MASF). Within 10 days, team captains will receive a confirmation letter and additional tournament information. |
