AGE GROUPS |
Minimum age of 8.
Junior: Age 8–12
Junior Developmental: Age 8-12
Scholastic: Age 13–19
Scholastic Developmental: Age 13-19
Open: Age 20-49
Masters: Age 50 and older
- Ages are determined by USSS Inc. rules (2011 minus birth year = USSS Inc. age).
- Developmental Divisions: Athletes who have competed exclusively in the intermediate or novice events during the 2011 season.

ELIGIBILITY |
An athlete must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- A full-time resident of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont for 30 days prior to the competition.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in Massachusetts.
- A registered member of a synchronized swimming club in Massachusetts, for which you are entering. The club must be your exclusive “contact” with the sports. Athletes using the club membership for eligibility may not be a member of a non Massachusetts club.

| *Schedule subject to change based on number of entries. Athletes must be ready and on deck 30 minutes before time listed. Music must be registered at sound table prior to warm-up time for the routine group. |

RULES |
- Competition will follow 2011 USSSI rules with the following exceptions. USSS Inc. membership is not required to participate, unattached swimmers may enter.
-
Each swimmer may enter up to three (3) routines as well as the technical event. The age of oldest competitor in a routine determines age division for each routine. |

FEE |
Finals fee: $30 |

AWARDS |
- All participants receive an official Bay State Summer Games T-shirt.
-
Medals are awarded to the top three in each division.
- Bay State Summer Games jackets by New Balance are presented to the gold medal winners in each division. |

ROUTINE TIMES |
Deck time: 10 seconds maximum
Solo: 3 minutes maximum

Duet/Trio: 3.5 minutes maximum
Team: 4 minutes maximum |

TECHNICAL EVENT |
- All athletes must participate in the technical event. Technical events consist of skills training and competition based on age and experience. Technical event details will be e-mailed to all competitors with their confirmation packet which they will receive by July 1. |

ENTRY DEADLINE |
- Entries must be received by June 30, 2011. Mail Bay State Games entry forms and the $30 fee to Bay State Games, 55 Sixth Rd, Woburn, MA 01801.
- All Synchronized Swimming specific Entry Forms should be e-mailed to Patty Flanagan, pflanagan@ywcaworcester.org. For additional competition information please contact Patty.
