COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each event.
- Competition is hosted on the campus of Regis College.

DIVISIONS
Track 2

Junior: Age 10 – 14
Scholastic: Age 15 – 17
Open: Age 18 – 39
Masters: Visit Masters Track & Field for more information.
*Male and female divisions.
*All ages are as of June 14, 2011.

ELIGIBILITY
An athlete must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- A full-time resident of Massachusetts for 30 days prior to the competition.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in Massachusetts.
- A registered member of a Track club in Massachusetts.  The club must be your exclusive “contact” with the sport.  Athletes using the club membership for eligibility may not be a member of a non-Massachusetts club.

RULES
- Athletes may enter one (1) running and two (2) field events or two (2) running events and one (1) field event.
- USA Track & Field rules apply to all events.
- USA Track & Field memberships are not required to participate.
- If an athlete wants to compete in an event which is not offered in their age group, they may move up ONE division in order to compete in that event. In this instance they will be competing as an athlete in the older age group. They will not be scored separately.
Example: An athlete in the junior division wants to compete in the high jump(not offered in junior division) as well as the 100m and 200m. The athlete would compete as a junior in the 100 & 200 and as a scholastic division athlete for the high jump.
- If the event an athlete wishes to enter is offered in their age group, they have to compete at that age group and cannot move up.

USA TRACK & FIELD SANCTION
All four Bay State Games regional track and field qualifiers as well as the finals at Regis College will be sanctioned meets by USA Track & Field. The sanction number for the 2011 Bay State Games Track & Field competition will be posted when it is received.
