- Bay State Games will use the KAP Wrestling Tournament Management System.
- Open to athletes in bordering states without a recognized state games wrestling competition which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode
Island and Vermont.
- Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each weight class.
- In addition to individual competition, tournament will include a Massachusetts club championship. Awards will be presented to the club with most
participants and an additional award will be given to the club with the highest point total based upon
results of competition.
- Competition is hosted in an air conditioned facility.
- In each weight class and division, the top 3 finishers by state receive an invitation to participate in the 2013 State Games of America wrestling competition in Hershey, PA in early August of 2013. The State Games of America features medal winners from over 25 state games organizations across the country including Pennsylvania, Iowa,
Nebraska, California and Connecticut.
DIVISIONS
Junior: Two separate divisions for 5th-6th Grade and
7th-8th Grade Scholastic: 9th, 10th or 11th Grade and under age 19 Open: 12th Grade and athletes age 19 and older *All ages are as of July 8, 2011 and all grades are as of the 2010-11 academic year.
ELIGIBILITY
An athlete must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- A full-time resident of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode
Island or Vermont for 30 days prior to the competition.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode
Island or Vermont. - A full-time member of a Massachusetts-based wrestling club.

The competition is a Folkstyle tournament.
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee: $30*This is a Finals Only competition.

Junior: Online or mail-in entries must be received NO LATER than June 30. Confirmations will be mailed by July 1. Any athlete that does not sign up by the entry deadline of June 30 must pay an entry fee of $40 on-site. The competition will be a one day format on Friday, July 8. Scholastic: Online or mail-in entries must be received NO LATER than June 30. Confirmations will be mailed by July 1. Competition will take place on both days of the meet Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9. On-site registration WILL NOT BE ALLOWED for scholastic. Open: Online or mail-in entries must be received NO LATER than June 30. Confirmations will be mailed by July 1.
