Schedule & Run Order I Registration
ELIGIBILITY |
To qualify for a region, an athlete must be ONE of the following:
- A full-time resident of Massachusetts by February 11, 2012.

A full-time student at an academic institution in Massachusetts.

A registered member of a skiing club in Massachusetts. The club must be the athlete’s exclusive “contact” within the sport.

A resident of any New England state that does not have its own state games organization with current membership in the National Congress of State Games (These states are Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire)

A resident of Maine, which is a member of the National Congress of State Games, but does not host its own skiing competition. |

DIVISIONS |
The competition will now include races in six different divisions.
Within each division, males and females will compete separately. Divisions are as follows:
MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Athletes must be in grade 7 or 8 as of the 2011-12 academic year.
HIGH SCHOOL 9 & 10:
Athletes must be in grade 9 or 10 as of the 2011-12 academic year.
HIGH SCHOOL 11 & 12: Athletes must be in grade 11 or 12 as of the 2011-12 academic year.
OPEN A - AGE 19-35: Athletes must be between the ages of 19 and 35 as of February 11, 2012.
***Any athlete age 19 or older who is in the 12th grade as of the 2011-12 academic year must competein the High School 11 & 12 division.
OPEN B - AGE 36-50: Athletes must be between the ages of 36 and 50 as of February 11, 2012.
MASTERS: Athletes must be age 51 and over as of February 11, 2012.

FORMAT |
|
• Two-run Giant Slalom.
• Within each division, seeding is random draw for first run.
• Second run seeding will be determined by inverting top 15 skiers from first run.
• Award medals and jackets will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each division. |

FEE |
Entry fee is $40 until January 31, 2012. After January 31, 2012 the entry fee is $50.
All participants will receive a T-shirt and use of the lift to access the race hill. |

DEADLINE |
Mail-in entry is due by January 31, 2012. |

CONFIRMATION |
The Bay State Games will begin mailing confirmations by Friday, January 20, 2012. |

EQUIPMENT |
Helmets and goggles are required for ALL DIVISIONS |
